The Georgia Environmental Protection Division (EPD)’s Watershed Protection Branch has proposed changes to the existing Drought Management Rule that would replace the current Rules for Outdoor Water Use (391-3-30). Due to the overwhelming comments, EPD has extended the comment deadline to August 19, 2014. We urge you to review the materials on EPD’s website and http://epd.georgia.gov/development-possible-new-drought-management-rules and submit comments prior to the deadline. There are some changes that will impact most municipal water providers and commercial/industrial water users.
